ME: Man, I really want to go to sleep.
MY BRAIN: You have a bed.
ME: Oh yeah.

Did you know that if you play a Beatles record backward, it will make really weird noises that might give you nightmares, but will most definitely not make any sense?
Same goes for “Revolution 9”.
The Impossible Has Happened.
I’m actually optimistic about Sunday’s The Walking Dead. The last two episodes were vast improvements. I mean, sure, there was a lot of bad shit in them, but you can’t expect a show to dig itself out of a hole that quickly. The point is, for the first time in a looong while the show seems to have a sense of surpose, seems to know exactly what it wants and how to go about...

We forgot to congratulate The Simpsons on 500 episodes. Congratulations, The Simpsons, on 500 episodes! We would have made a “Top X Favorite Episodes Of All Time” list, but that list hasn’t changed since season 10.

– Kurt Vonnegut, on The Daily Show
Oh my god, I didn’t know this even existed.
(via hall0weenjack)
Kurt Vonnegut was one the best guests ever. And it was before the days when they were able to book just about anybody.
I really hope that Ellroy quote still works out of context.
Because the book sings, baby.

Also, Isaac Asimov reportedly didn’t like describing himself as an atheist because it defined him as what he didn’t believe in as opposed to what he did believe.
SMART MAN.
For the record, I’m an atheist. That’s why it annoys me that so many of them are jerkfacey.
I think a guy like the Amazing Atheist is more representative of how a lot of white male atheists think than white male atheists — including, obviously, myself — would like to admit. But, whatever, I guess.

RIP Trotsky
rare-basement:
When I was in high school we acquired four kittens. One was mine. I named him Trotsky. Trotsky was mean, hyperactive, and ultimately shunned by the other cats. My mom gave him to my uncle. He lived in there until his life was cut short by a stray that lived in the garden. RIP Trotsky cat, assassinated in exile. Moral of the story? Names come true. Be careful what you call your...

The cool part about the Angel one is it sounds like one of those old X-Men cartoons to me. (I mean in spirit).
